Workers for Terrace Bay Pulp in Ontario have been waiting a year now to see if their mill will be able to reopen.

Tolko is confident its sawmill in The Pas, Manitoba will reopen some day, although it likely won't be in 2010.
It's been a year since Tolko stopped producing lumber in The Pas. The closure put about 100 people out of work.

Tembec is reopening its pulp mill in Chetwynd, British Columbia on January 1st, 2010.
Tembec is reopening the mill because of the strong demand in the Asian markets. The mill was idled on February 2nd putting 180 out of work.

Canfor may be able to re-open its Chetwynd sawmill on one shift next May.
