Tolko Industries Inc. is extending its curtailments at its Soda Creek and Armstrong stud operations in British Columbia.
The curtailments will continue until September 6. After that time, a restart will be reconsidered on a week to week basis.

Mackenzie Forest Products is closing its sawmill near Sioux Lookout, Ontario next Friday, and plans to be completely shut down within a week.

West Fraser Timber has decided to permanently close Northstar Lumber in Quesnel, British Columbia.
The mill was idled in December 2008 putting 127 people out of work. The mill had been producing about 160 million board feet a year.
