Domtar has decided to dismantle its pulp mill in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
The mill has been permanently closed since 2006.
The dismantling of the paper machine and converting equipment was completed in 2008 and the dismantling of the remaining assets is expected to start in early 2010.
Domtar will continue to remove machinery and equipment from the site and will take steps to engage the services of demolition contractors and file for a demolition permit.
