Tolko really wants to log the trees damaged by the mountain pine beetle in the Browns Creek Watershed near Vernon, B.C.
The Okanagan First Nations believes the area is an archaeological site and it needs to be preserved.
On October 20th, members of the Okanagan Indian Band and the Upper Nicola Band set up a roadblock to block the Tolko workers from accessing the area.
Grand Chief Stewart Phillip with the BC Union of Indian Chiefs says they have a court date with Tolko later this month.
"The court date's of November 19th and 20th, have been confirmed. So at this point the parties are ready to go into court, to deal with the issue of Tolko's injunction application."
