Western Forest Products Inc. has announced results for their third quarter ended September 30, 2009.
Western Forest Products reported a net loss for the third quarter of 2009 amounting to $16.6 million ($0.04 per share), on sales of $149.9 million. Despite signs that the global recession may be reaching an end, the financial results in the third quarter of 2009 continue to reflect generally poor economic conditions in our industry. Although the financial results in the third quarter of 2009 are disappointing, they are a marked improvement over the results from the previous two quarters of 2009 and same period in 2008.
The Third Interim Report for 2009 is available on SEDAR and the Company's website at www.westernforest.com.
