The province of Newfoundland and Labrador has started the process of paying the laid-off AbitibiBowater workers $35 million in severance.
The government says it has reached an agreement with unions on rolling out severance and other benefits to about 800 people from the paper mill in Grand Falls-Windsor.
The severance will be provided to both unionized and non-unionized mill workers, and to workers from the mill's logging operations.
Union officials will be contacting the displaced workers to schedule information sessions and distribute applications.

I highly doubt it.
We are we any different?
We just want our pension contributions back.
Nothing more, nothing less.
