Kimberly-Clark cuts 1,600 jobs

Kimberly-Clark has announced that the company plans to eliminate 1,600 jobs, but has not yet said if any of those positions will come from would come from Kimberly-Clark's Canadian operations that include plants in Huntsville, Ontario, and Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec.
Kimberly-Clark is the maker of Kleenex tissues, Huggies diapers and scores of other household items. The company employs 53,000 people around the world.
The company announced that it plans to make the cuts primarily among salaried and non-production workers, and executives said the company doesn't plan to close any plants.
