Site Updates
If you are interested in the mechanics behind ForestTalk.com, I'll update this page when I add new features or make updates.
August 29, 2010 - Send in your forestry pictures to ForestTalk to appear on our Photo Gallery. Email your photos to Lisa@ForestTalk.com.
June 29, 2010 - Be sure to email me with any forestry news you see going on in Canada to Lisa@ForestTalk.com. My news monitoring time has been limited this month (and may be over the next month) and I don't want to miss any important topics. Thanks!
May 30, 2010 - I've made ForestTalk.com slightly wider on the screen in order to accommodate embedded YouTube videos within the text.
May 15, 2010 - All comments are now held in a cue until a moderator approves them for publishing.
November 13, 2009 - HTML line break codes are showing up in the email comment notifications again. I will fix this over the weekend.
November 11, 2009 - Updating the software (b2evolution) to the latest release. Any errors you may encounter this morning will be quickly fixed.
November 1, 2009 - The spam-check software running on ForestTalk.com will often hold comments for moderation if they include http:// links. I will do my best to approve them asap after you post.
October 18, 2009 - Updating the software that runs ForestTalk.com. Some sporadic errors may occur during the update process.
June 19, 2009 - The poll isn't functioning well after the updates I did earlier this week. I've taken it offline so I can repair the code.
June 18, 2009 - Added an automatic "Related Posts" feature for the bottom of each new post. So far the results are about 80% relevant. I'll keep it around for a bit and see how useful it is.
June 14, 2009 - Updated the blog software behind ForestTalk.com. Updated the header bar. Some errors are showing up here and there. I'm working on squashing those bugs.
June 13, 2009 - Anonymous comments have come to an end today. As always, a very small percentage of the user base has ruined it for everyone. Now you must create a ForestTalk.com account to post. Only your handle or username will be shown with your comment.
