Alberta calls in fire fighters from as far as Mexico

Alberta firefighters have contained 60 of 77 active wildfires in their province, but fire officials are expecting more blazes in the coming days.
Rob Harris, a wildfire information officer with Alberta's Sustainable Resource Development, said 600 firefighters are working to control the fires.
To strengthen their ability to fight their current fires, and to be ready to tackle the new fires that may ignite in the coming days, more than 180 firefighters from across Canada and Mexico have been called in to help.
"With more than 100,000 lightening strikes recorded since the weekend there's a potential for an awful lot more of these ground fires to surface in the coming days," Harris said.
