Mackenzie pulp mill opening postponed

The plan to restart the pulp mill in Mackenzie, B.C. has been put on hold for at least 60 days.
The new owners, Worthington Properties out of Edmonton, have been crunching numbers - including pulp prices, labour costs, and the wood fibre supply - and they don't like what they are seeing.
Unionized workers have been told by their union to take other job offers, if they have them.
The union has already made an application to the B.C. Labour Relations Board to keep the union contract in place.
