Worthington Properties has now taken over ownership of the Mackenzie pulp mill in British Columbia.
The owner, Dan White of Worthington Properties of Edmonton, is looking to get the mill back up and running soon. The mill needs to be restarted soon before the weather gets too cold.
Some employees have been told to report back to work on September 25th.
The mill has no fibre supply, since the contract with Canfor was cancelled. However, there is approximately a two month supply of chips on the site.
Dan White is said to be talking to several independents about a fibre supply.
